Post-construction

Post-construction cleaning:
the three stages.

Post-construction cleaning is done in three stages: a rough clean after the heavy trades finish, a final clean once fixtures are in and before the walkthrough, and a touch-up right before move-in to catch dust from punch-list work.

Fine drywall dust settles for days, which is why one clean is rarely enough.

The stages

1. Rough clean

Debris, packaging and scraps out, floors swept, the worst of the dust off surfaces. While trades are still finishing.

2. Final clean

Every surface top to bottom: vents, light fixtures, window frames and sills, cabinets inside and out, restrooms, glass, floors. Labels and stickers removed.

3. Touch-up

A last pass after punch-list work, right before tenants move in. Floors and glass, mostly.

Tenant improvements and move-ins

The same stages apply to a tenant improvement in an occupied building, with more care around the parts still in use. See post-construction and move-in cleaning; we quote after a walkthrough.
